Three Events, Three Awards: QuoteWerks Wins Best Partner Involvement at ASCII Edge Chicago 2026
Three ASCII Edge events. Three awards.
QuoteWerks is honored to have received the Best Partner Involvement award at ASCII Edge Chicago 2026, held September 23–24 at the Chicago Marriott Oak Brook.
Chicago was the third ASCII Edge event QuoteWerks attended in 2026, and we are proud to have received an award at each of the three events.
Earlier this year, QuoteWerks received Best Partner Involvement at ASCII Edge Seattle and ASCII Edge DC / Northern Virginia. Receiving the recognition again in Chicago completed a pretty remarkable run for us: three ASCII events attended and three awards received in 2026.
We are incredibly appreciative of everyone who stopped by our booth, shared feedback, asked questions, and reconnected with us throughout the event.
But Chicago was about more than another award.
It also came at an especially interesting moment for the ASCII community and the IT channel as a whole.
A New Chapter for ASCII and GTIA
Just days before ASCII Edge Chicago, the Global Technology Industry Association (GTIA) announced its acquisition of The ASCII Group.
For those of us who have been in the channel for a long time, there is something especially fitting about seeing these organizations come together.
I've known Jerry Koutavas and the ASCII team for many years through QuoteWerks' involvement with the community. I've also known MJ Shoer, now Chief Community Officer at GTIA, going back to his days running an MSP and using QuoteWerks.
MJ's path from the ASCII community into leadership roles with CompTIA and now GTIA makes this new chapter feel especially full circle. Communities like ASCII have always been about more than events. They create relationships and opportunities that can shape careers and the broader channel over time.
Seeing Jerry, MJ, ASCII, and GTIA come together in this way made Chicago feel like more than just another industry event.
What We Heard in Chicago: Flexibility Matters
One of the most interesting parts of events like ASCII Edge is seeing which conversations keep coming up.
In Chicago, the common thread was flexibility.
MSPs wanted to know whether QuoteWerks Web could truly stand on its own.
They wanted more ways to adapt their quoting process around how their business actually works.
They were interested in AI, but primarily when it could help them accomplish something practical.
And they wanted their quoting system to connect with the rest of their technology stack without being limited to a small number of integrations.
Those conversations lined up closely with several of the biggest developments in QuoteWerks this year.
QuoteWerks Web Can Now Stand on Its Own
One of the most common conversations was around QuoteWerks Web now being able to operate completely independently of QuoteWerks Desktop.
Organizations no longer need QuoteWerks Desktop running alongside it, and there is no desktop software that needs to be installed or maintained simply to use QuoteWerks Web.
That was an important distinction for many of the MSPs and IT solution providers we spoke with, particularly people who had seen QuoteWerks Web earlier in its development and did not realize just how much has changed.
QuoteWerks Web has evolved considerably, and Chicago gave us an opportunity to show people what the platform looks like today.
A More Modern QuoteWerks Web Experience
The redesigned QuoteWerks Web user interface also generated a lot of interest.
The updated experience is cleaner and more modern while still retaining the depth and flexibility businesses with more sophisticated quoting requirements expect from QuoteWerks.
For longtime QuoteWerks users, it was an opportunity to see familiar capabilities delivered through a modern browser-based experience.
For organizations looking at QuoteWerks for the first time, it demonstrated just how far QuoteWerks Web has come.
Custom Buttons, AI Scripting, and Making QuoteWerks Your Own
AI was naturally a frequent topic throughout the event, but the conversations tended to focus less on AI as a buzzword and more on what businesses could actually do with it.
That made Custom Buttons and AI-assisted scripting in QuoteWerks Web particularly interesting.
Businesses can create scripts around their own processes and use AI to help develop those scripts. Custom Buttons can then surface those capabilities directly within the QuoteWerks Web interface.
The value is not simply having AI inside the product.
It is giving organizations another way to adapt QuoteWerks around how they do business.
Zapier Opens Up Thousands of New Possibilities
Chicago was also one of our first opportunities to introduce the ASCII community to the new QuoteWerks integration with Zapier.
QuoteWerks already supports more than 115 native integrations across CRM, PSA, accounting, distribution, payments, and other business systems.
But no software company can realistically build a native integration with every application its customers might want to use.
Zapier dramatically expands those possibilities.
QuoteWerks Web users can connect quoting workflows with thousands of additional applications and create automations without requiring a traditional custom integration.
For MSPs in particular, that flexibility matters.
Most MSPs operate with a stack of specialized tools, and those stacks continue to evolve. Giving customers both deep native integrations and the ability to connect QuoteWerks to additional applications through Zapier lets businesses choose the systems that make sense for them rather than forcing them into a particular ecosystem.
That theme came up repeatedly in Chicago.
As quoting becomes more important to the business, companies want more control, more integration choices, and more flexibility in how their quoting process works.
Seattle to DC to Chicago
Looking back at the three ASCII events QuoteWerks attended this year also shows how quickly QuoteWerks Web has evolved.
Seattle was largely about standalone QuoteWerks Web and what was coming next.
By DC / Northern Virginia, we were demonstrating the refreshed Web experience and talking with attendees about capabilities like Custom Buttons.
In Chicago, those pieces were coming together with AI-assisted scripting, Zapier, and a broader story about where QuoteWerks Web is heading.
There has been a lot happening with QuoteWerks in a relatively short period of time, which made having these face-to-face conversations particularly valuable.
Why These Events Matter to Us
Recognition like Best Partner Involvement means a lot to us, but involvement is also exactly why we attend events like ASCII Edge.
We're not there simply to stand behind a booth.
We're there to reconnect with customers, meet new businesses, talk with partners, understand what MSPs are dealing with, show what we've been building, and bring those conversations back to the QuoteWerks team.
Some conversations become new features.
Some become new integrations.
Some change how we explain or position something we already offer.
And some simply continue relationships that have existed for many years.
That's what makes the ASCII community valuable to us.
After more than three decades in this industry, staying involved in the community still matters just as much as continuing to evolve the product.
Thank You, Chicago
Thank you to everyone who visited the QuoteWerks booth at ASCII Edge Chicago, shared feedback, asked questions, and spent time with us.
We also want to congratulate the other companies recognized at the event and thank the ASCII and GTIA teams for bringing everyone together during what is clearly an important new chapter for both organizations.
There is still something special about walking into an event and seeing customers, partners, competitors, and friends you've known at different stages of their careers.
The technology keeps changing.
The relationships are what endure.
We're grateful to be part of the ASCII community and proud that at the three ASCII Edge events QuoteWerks attended in 2026, we received an award at every one.
