What is the Real-Time Module in QuoteWerks?
The QuoteWerks Real-time Module offers several real-time integrations including a Tax Rate lookup service for US postal codes, FedEx & UPS shipping rates service, real-time leasing rates, real-time pricing & warehouse availability with many of the leading IT/AV distributors, and Online Ordering and Procurement Tracking (shipping tracking, product serial numbers) for IT distributors. The Real-Time module requires that you have a Real-Time subscription or the Pinnacle Edition of QuoteWerks.
All Real-Time setup can be accessed by navigating to Setup -> Options and clicking on Real-time.
Tax Rate lookup Service for US Postal Codes
The Tax Rate lookup will verify the address against the USPS database, and refine the Postal Code to be a Zip+4 postal code (taking into account the street number and name) pulled from the Sold to / Ship to tab in the Quote Workbook. With this pinpointed Zip+4 Postal Code the Sales Tax Rates for that specific Zip+4 location will be retrieved.
To verify the sales tax rates on a quote, navigate to the Sale Info tab and click on the icon highlighted below. This will open the Tax Rate Lookup window. From here you can select the location and the tax rate you would like to apply based on that location.
Obtain Real-Time Pricing and Availability from Over 15 Distributors
The Real-time Pricing & Availability feature queries the distributor's servers and requests the up to the minute pricing and warehouse availability. This eliminates the need to leave QuoteWerks to find product pricing and availability and enables you to quickly add those items to a quote. Once you have the Real-time module enabled you can obtain real-time pricing and availability from your configured distributors as seen below. This way you can make informed decisions as to which products to quote and where to source those products from.
To enable Real-Time pricing and availability you must be licensed to use the QuoteWerks Product Content Subscription or have the Pinnacle Edition of QuoteWerks. Settings can be adjusted by navigating to Setup -> Options -> Real-time and clicking on Product Content/Etilize.
Obtain Real-Time Shipping Rates from FedEx or UPS
QuoteWerks is able to pull Real-Time shipping rates from FedEx and UPS. This allows you to quickly and easily add shipping to the entire document, to individual line items, and even add shipping line items to quote different shipping options. 
Above is the Get Real-time Shipping Rate window. From this window you can specify the ship to/ship from information, select packaging, assign a weight if not populated by the document items, specify the dimensions of the box, and request rates. Once you have selected the shipping method you then have the ability to apply a price modifier if you wish to do so.
Obtain Real-Time Leasing Rates
The Real-time Leasing integration currently includes GreatAmerica Financial Services. This integration enables users to automatically calculate the leasing rate for any quote in QuoteWerks with up to the minute rates provided by GreatAmerica. Once configured you can use the Lease Payment Calculator to get lease payments and include them on a quote as seen below.
Online Ordering and Procurement Tracking
Purchase Orders can be created and online orders can be placed with Amazon Business, D&H, Dell, Ingram Micro, and TD SYNNEX directly from within QuoteWerks. You can order items from a single order or combine items from multiple QuoteWerks orders into a single distributor order.
Once ordered, the purchase order items can be accessed from either the Purchase Orders tab or the Ordered Items tab. The individual items tracking numbers, serial numbers and shipping statuses will update automatically when ordering electronically. For any items that were not ordered electronically, you can manage their statuses, tracking numbers, and serial numbers through the Purchase Orders and Ordered Items tabs.
