A bundle in QuoteWerks is a collection of multiple products or services that are grouped together and treated as a single solution when building a quote. Bundles allow sales representatives to quickly add a predefined set of related items instead of selecting each product individually. This helps standardize quotes, reduce manual entry, and ensure that all required components are included for a particular product or service offering.
Bundles are commonly used when selling complete systems, solution packages, service offerings, or products that always require additional accessories or supporting components. Rather than remembering every item needed for a quote, users can simply insert the bundle, and QuoteWerks automatically adds all of the associated line items.
QuoteWerks supports two types of bundles: Simple Bundles and Grouped Bundles. While both allow multiple items to be added to a quote simultaneously, they differ in how the components are organized and presented within the quote
Simple Bundles
A Simple Bundle is the most basic type of bundle available in QuoteWerks. When a Simple Bundle is added to a quote, each product or service is inserted as an individual line item without being grouped under a parent bundle line item. The items function as standard quote lines and can typically be edited, reordered, or removed independently.
Simple Bundles are ideal when the goal is simply to speed up quote creation by inserting a commonly used collection of items. Because there is no parent-child relationship between the components, the individual products appear as separate items throughout the quote. This makes Simple Bundles well suited for smaller product packages or standard configurations where additional organization is not necessary.
Common uses for Simple Bundles include frequently sold product combinations, standard accessory packages, installation kits, basic service offerings, and office equipment packages.
Grouped Bundles
A Grouped Bundle organizes related products and services beneath a single summary bundle line item within the quote. The summary line acts as a container for all of the associated line items, making the quote easier to read and manage, especially when selling complex solutions.
Unlike a Simple Bundle, a Grouped Bundle maintains the relationship between all of its components. This provides a more organized presentation by keeping related products together and clearly identifying them as part of a single solution. Depending on the quote layout and company preferences, customers may see the individual components, the bundle summary, or both.
Grouped Bundles are particularly useful for larger or more complex quotes, such as server deployments, network infrastructure, audio/visual systems, security installations, managed service packages, or complete hardware and software solutions.
The primary difference between the two bundle types is how they organize products within the quote. A Simple Bundle simply inserts multiple products as independent line items, making it an excellent choice when the objective is to save time by automatically adding commonly used items. A Grouped Bundle, however, keeps those products organized under a single parent bundle, creating a cleaner and more structured quote that is easier to review for both the salesperson and the customer.
Organizations often use Simple Bundles for smaller packages or standard product combinations, while Grouped Bundles are preferred for complete solutions that contain many related components. Choosing the appropriate bundle type depends on the complexity of the solution being quoted and how the organization wants the products to be presented.
When a bundle is added to a quote, QuoteWerks inserts each item contained within the bundle as individual line items. Each component retains its own quantity, pricing, cost, and description while remaining associated with the overall bundle when using a Grouped Bundle. Depending on how the bundle has been configured, users may be able to modify quantities, add or remove components, or update pricing after the bundle has been inserted.
Bundles can be created to include:
This allows organizations to package complete solutions that can be quoted consistently across the sales team.
Using bundles provides several advantages during the quoting process:
A company sells a complete conference room solution that includes one display, one video conferencing camera, one microphone, one wall mount, two HDMI cables, installation services, and user training.
Using a Simple Bundle, all of these items are inserted into the quote as individual products. Using a Grouped Bundle, the same components are inserted beneath a single summary line named Conference Room Solution, making it easier for both the salesperson and the customer to recognize that all of the products and services belong to one complete solution.

Bundles are a powerful feature in QuoteWerks that help organizations create accurate, consistent, and professional quotes more efficiently. Whether using a Simple Bundle to quickly insert a common set of products or a Grouped Bundle to organize and present a complete solution, bundles reduce manual effort, minimize quoting errors, and ensure that standardized offerings are quoted consistently. Selecting the appropriate bundle type helps improve both the sales process and the overall presentation of customer quotes.
